I became a florist at the age of 16. To be honest I didn't even know what a florist was! I loved it, creating beautiful things all day that made people smile, I was hooked. Floristry opened my eyes to nature and the environment. I was lucky to be able to return to education in my thirties, when I had my son. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and it opened my eyes to the problems connected with consumer consumption.  When I opened my shop back in 2012 I knew the best way to limit waste and environmental impact was simply not to offer that product, The bouquet that is wrapped in metres of plastic wrap with a plastic bow. Using endless amounts of toxic materials like spray paint, floral foam and glitter!!!! I run my business as ethically as I can whilst still being commercially viable. At least I can sleep at night xxxxx

Our Pledge

Our aim at Wild & Wondrous is to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible while providing a top quality floral service.

Suppliers

Our flowers come from various sources. The majority are from local Dutch wholesalers who supply both ethically produced, imported and locally grown British flowers.

We receive regular direct deliveries from UK growers.

Wild and Wondrous also work with the National Sweetpea Association and benefit from the freshest RHS gold medal winning blooms all summer.

A local flower farm we use is a great place to cut amazing summer annuals.

I also grow a few bits for adding to bespoke and seasonal wedding designs.
