Catlin has been a a favourite customer since I open the shop in 2012. I did the flowers for her brothers wedding and when Catlin popped in and said she was getting married I was thrilled. All Catlin's family are lovely and love flowers, they've been to numerous Wild & Wondrous Workshop over the years.
We originally discussed the flowers back in 2019, and both loved the autumn colours. Catlin is a farmer and a real country girl so wanted to add a few pheasant feathers to her bouquet.
2020 Covid hit and the country went into lockdown.......rules changing for day to day. The summer came and larger gatherings were starting to be allowed but the situation was uncertain. Most of the couples who had booked with me had moved their dates to later in the year or this year and some 2022. Not Catlin!
The church allowed the ceremony to go ahead, and even let them cut the cake and do speeches after the ceremony. Catlin's sister Becky, made a beautiful cake and individual cup cakes for guests to take away. Catlin's mum made individual pack lunches for the guests which were eaten in the carpark. Catlin and Jack then gave everyone flowers from the churns we provided for out side the church.
When I saw these pictures I was honestly moved. Love does conquer all. The thought and love that when into this wedding was truly beautiful. Thank you to Claire the photographer for sharing her amazing images with me and to Catlin, Jack and their fantastic family. We also created the flowers for Becky's wedding last month and I can't wait to see those pictures too.
